Anton Norup (real-life and simracing)

If I could choose a daily driver: A van with room for my model airplanes, star telescope, computers etc.

If my lottery ticket came out: It wouldn't, because I don't gamble

The best drive: Gert's Alfa :-p

All-time classic: Know only a few cars, but maybe a 1967 AAR Eagle ...

Place(s) I would like to drive: Ring Djursland, Nürburgring (again), Mosport, St. Jovite ...

Best car experience: Nürburgring in Gert's Alfa

Right now I am looking forward to: Finish Roskildering for GPL

The best GPL-track: Too much good stuff to choose from ...

GPL is cool because: Ehrm, - don't know, but can't keep my hands of it!

The best race driver ever: Don't know any of them that well

We were there from the start

Back in 1965 Scuderia Into The Red entered Anton Norup in the Fiat Punto S for the annual Nürburgring 1000 km.

For almost two hours he and
Graham Hill in the Ferrari 330P, entered by the British Ferrari Concessionaires, switched places on and on again.

The blue ITR car ran out of fuel on the closing lap when the ever-eager Norup ignored signalling from the pits.

Another race lost. But then again -
almost won as well ...
