28. august 2004 The second-from-last outing in the Alfa Romeo Owner's Club ClubSport championship was run at the Padborg Park race track. BMW, Honda and Subaru OCs participated as well. Scuderia Into The Red sent two cars; Sterner and Einarsson in their Alfa Romeo road-cars, whereas Søren Bærholm was busy elsewhere and left the Audi 100 at home. Claus Larsen came along for moral support. The event was somewhat overshadowed by the disqualification of Per Einarsson's Bertone GT due to a too noisy exhaust. The team manager was obviously very disappointed, but - even after some shoestring improvements to the exhaust and another rejection -, kept the impression that the noise measurements were being a bit haphazardly executed. But Gert Sterner shone in the well-balanced 33 16V and scored a very impressive 2nd place in the 1601-2000cc class. Especially the second timed stint was driven on the very limit of the physical capabilities of the 1.7-litre Alfa.
